-
Click on Accounts in the top menu of the email module.
-
If this is your first time entering an email account, you must first click New and set up an account before you can start sending and receiving emails.
-
Choose the type of email account you want to set up, POP3 or IMAP. IMAP synchronizes what is on the mail server at any time and can be read from several different email readers. When using e-mail account in e.g. mobile phone parallel to 24SevenOffice is recommended IMAP. POP3 is less common to use, as e-mail is downloaded from the e-mail server and these will only be available in the e-mail reader in which they are downloaded.
-
Then fill in the remaining information in the General tab and proceed to the Servers tab .
-
On the Servers tab, enter or change the incoming and outgoing server settings.
Default outgoing server settings are not supported to prevent 24SevenOffice from being used for broadcasting SPAM.
Server name, username and password
In many cases this is the same for incoming and outgoing server.
If you do not know what your server name, username and password are then you must contact your email provider to obtain this.
For NetClient customers, the server name is: mail.netclient.no. Username is your email address. Click here and use the Forgot Password feature to get a password sent (this information is the same for incoming and outgoing server).
When this is done you can click Save and start using the e-mail module.
NB! It is not allowed to change the account type from IMAP to POP3 after an account is added to 24SevenOffice, as this would have caused all mail to have disappeared from the server and thus also from your email account.
