The system includes a dedicated management interface that can be used to maintain custom dimensions. Access is below (show extended menu button) - Finance - Accounting - Dimension admin.
Please contact our customer service if you would like to access this feature and do not find "Dimension admin" in your menu.
Add new dimensions
- Click the "New" button in the upper-left corner of the screen to create a new dimension.
- Leave Dimension Type as "(auto)".
- Name the dimension, e.g. "Employees" or "Vehicles".
- Give the dimension a description (optional).
- Click "Save."
It is also possible to import dimensions via a separate import function under (expanded menu button) - Administration - Import into the system.
Change dimensions
It is possible to change the name and description of the created dimensions, but not the dimension type (which is a unique number the system uses to keep control of the different dimensions).
Delete dimensions
It is not possible to delete dimensions directly in the management interface. If you need to delete an entire dimension that has not been entered in the accounts, please contact our customer service for further assistance.
Insert new objects into one dimension
Click the "Add New" button under "Objects". You will then get a dialog box with two fields:
Value : Here you enter the value that the object should have. Some examples of common values in 24SevenOffice are project numbers on projects, and department numbers on departments. If the new dimension is e.g. "Employees", the value of an object can be set to e.g. the initials of the various employees, or registration number if you work with "Vehicles".
Name : Here you give the object a name.
Click "Save" to save, or "Close" to close the window without saving.
Change objects in one dimension
It is possible to rename objects in one dimension. Double-click the name you want to change, type a new name, and click "Save Changes" under the table to save. However, value cannot be changed.
Delete objects in one dimension
It is possible to delete objects by selecting at least one object in the table and clicking "Delete". You must then confirm the deletion.
