Defining Sales Groups
This can be found by going to Administration - Settings - CRM - Groups. You can manage the groups at your own discretion, but it is important that the groups to be shown in budget must have the term "Sales" under "Group type".
Sales
Opportunities Sales Opportunities are used to make future sales forecasts, and will serve as a tool to track expected sales in your business. By actively using a "sales opportunity", you will be able to follow a sales process throughout the entire sales process using custom steps. It is also easy to measure "sales opportunities" for each salesperson, group and much more by using the reports under "CRM"
You will have the opportunity to create a "sales opportunity" for each customer that is registered in "customer care" under "CRM". You will also be able to create "opportunities" for projects that are registered in the project module. Unlike specific orders and invoices, "sales opportunities" are only for making forecasts and measurements and have no direct connection to what is actually billed to a customer.
A sales opportunity can also be linked to a "campaign" and also to an "order / invoice" so that you will have the opportunity to measure specific sales that a "campaign" has generated.
When defining "steps", "rejection" and "type", it is important to find choices that reflect how a sales process normally works in your business.
